Madison & Andrew

Madison and Andrew’s September wedding brought rich colour, thoughtful details, and plenty of emotion to the mountains of Banff. From their outdoor ceremony overlooking the Rockies to an intimate reception at Three Bears Brewery, every part of the day felt warm, personal, and completely their own.

The couple exchanged vows beneath a striking mountain-shaped wooden arch from JM Wilkinson Designs. Covered in abundant florals by Willow Flower Co, it framed the surrounding peaks beautifully without competing with the view. Wooden benches lined the ceremony space, while floral arrangements in shades of sage, orange, blush, and deep red brought warmth and texture to the natural setting.

The September weather could not have been better. It was comfortable, calm, and just cool enough to feel like fall was beginning to settle into the mountains. Madison’s bridesmaids wore rich red dresses that looked incredible against the landscape and tied perfectly into the deeper shades found throughout the floral design.

The ceremony, led by Alpenglow Ceremonies, was full of emotion. There were tears, plenty of laughter, and a huge cheer as Madison and Andrew made their way back down the aisle together. Their excitement was unmistakable, and Magnifik Photography captured it all beautifully, from the quiet moments between the couple to the celebration shared with their closest people.

Following the ceremony, Madison and Andrew headed into the mountains for portraits beside the water. The rocky shoreline, muted September sky, and sweeping views created a dramatic backdrop, while the warm colours in Madison’s bouquet added a beautiful contrast. Twisted Film Works was also there to preserve the movement, emotion, and atmosphere of the day on film.

Guests were transported by AMPM Limo to the reception at Three Bears Brewery in downtown Banff. With its warm wood, industrial details, hanging greenery, and open layout, the venue gave the celebration a relaxed, modern feel.

Inside, the tables were dressed with emerald green napkins, simple place settings, and colourful floral arrangements. Additional pieces from Mountain Event Rentals helped bring the room together, while flowers placed throughout the venue and suspended overhead softened the industrial space. One of our favourite details was the vintage-style mirror used as the seating chart. Surrounded by florals, it made a beautiful first impression as guests entered the reception.

Dinner was followed by heartfelt speeches, plenty of laughter, and a dessert display from Corrina Cook Creations. Cupcakes were arranged alongside a small heart-shaped cake finished with vintage piping and the words “Just Married.” It was playful, romantic, and perfectly suited to the celebration.

Madison’s look, completed by Blush & Coco, was elegant and understated from beginning to end. Her clean, modern gown and long veil allowed the flowers, mountain setting, and emotion of the day to take centre stage.

As the evening continued, Visual Sound Waves brought everyone onto the dance floor. It was the perfect end to a day that balanced beautiful design with genuine warmth. Every detail had been considered, but nothing felt overly formal or staged. It was simply a wonderful celebration of Madison and Andrew, surrounded by their favourite people in one of the most beautiful places in the world.
