Taylor & John
Taylor and John were married on October 25 at the iconic Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, surrounded by friends, family, and the dramatic beauty of the Canadian Rockies. Their celebration unfolded over an entire weekend in Banff, allowing guests to gather, reconnect, and fully experience the magic of the mountains.
The festivities began two nights before the wedding with a welcome dinner at the Upper Rundle Lounge inside the Banff Springs Hotel. It was the perfect setting to greet guests arriving from near and far and set the tone for the weekend ahead. The following evening, the couple hosted their rehearsal dinner at Sky Bistro, the stunning restaurant at the top of the Banff Gondola. With panoramic mountain views and an unforgettable alpine setting, it was a spectacular way to bring everyone together before the big day.
On the wedding morning, Taylor and John shared an intimate first look before joining their guests for the ceremony. Photographed beautifully by Magnifik Photography, the moment was quiet and emotional, offering the couple a chance to soak in the day together before the celebration officially began.
Taylor looked every bit the classically stunning bride. Her gown featured a structured strapless bodice with elegant corset-style boning and a softly sculpted sweetheart neckline that flowed into a full, sweeping skirt. Paired with her long dark hair styled in glamorous Hollywood waves by Blush & Coco, the look felt timeless and cinematic. John complemented the look perfectly, wearing a traditional black tuxedo for the first look and changing into a crisp white dinner jacket with black trousers and a black bow tie for the ceremony, a refined nod to old-Hollywood elegance.
The ceremony took place outdoors at the Fairmont Banff Springs, framed by snow-dusted mountain peaks and brilliant blue skies. Late October in the Rockies can be unpredictable, but the light snowfall in the days leading up to the wedding created a breathtaking alpine backdrop that made the entire setting feel even more dramatic and romantic.
Taylor carried a bouquet of classic white roses designed by Blue Lake Florals, whose arrangements brought a soft elegance to the ceremony space and reception. The couple’s black-and-white design palette carried throughout the entire celebration, creating a look that was both modern and timeless. With décor rentals provided by Mountain Event Rentals, the reception space featured black chairs, black linens, and elegant tablescapes accented with gold-rimmed charger plates, gold candle holders with tall white tapers, and understated black table numbers. The combination felt incredibly polished and sophisticated.
Following the ceremony, guests gathered for a champagne toast before moving into the reception. The evening was filled with incredible energy, brought to life by Pez Productions, who kept the dance floor full well into the night. Dinner concluded with a stunning cake by Whippt, adding a final sweet detail to the beautifully curated design.
Transportation throughout the weekend was seamlessly handled by Patagonia Chauffeur and AMPM Limo, ensuring guests moved easily between venues and celebrations.
As the evening continued, the reception transformed into a high-energy celebration, complete with unforgettable moments and even pyrotechnics lighting up the dance floor. It was a spectacular finale to a weekend that was thoughtfully planned from beginning to end.
Taylor and John’s wedding was the perfect blend of timeless elegance and modern celebration. From the classic black-and-white design to the incredible mountain setting and joyful energy of their guests, every detail came together beautifully.
It was truly an honour to help bring this unforgettable weekend to life! Congratulations, Taylor and John!
