Some weddings are beautiful. Others are joyful. Annapurna and Nick's wedding was both, woven together with culture, tradition, elegance, and an undeniable sense of celebration from beginning to end.
Set against the dramatic backdrop of the Rocky Mountains, the day began with Annapurna preparing for the celebration ahead, with hair and makeup by the talented team at Bush & Coco. Every detail of her look reflected the balance that would define the day as a whole: timeless tradition paired with modern sophistication. Intricate henna by Shazma Meghan adorned her hands, while her stunning bridal attire brought rich colour, texture, and meaning to every moment.
Their ceremony took place on the terrace at the Banff Springs Hotel, framed by breathtaking mountain views and a floral installation by Willow Flower Co. that felt both romantic and refined. Soft white blooms, lush greenery, and delicate floral accents created a striking contrast against the vibrant reds and golds of the couple's traditional attire. Live ceremony music by Solatido floated through the air as family and friends gathered to witness a ceremony rich with symbolism, laughter, and heartfelt emotion.
One of the most memorable aspects of the day was watching two families come together. Throughout the ceremony, generations participated in traditions that honoured heritage while celebrating the future Annapurna and Nick are building together. There were moments of quiet reflection, moments of overwhelming joy, and countless smiles shared between loved ones who had travelled from near and far to be there.
Following the ceremony, guests made their way inside the iconic Banff Springs Hotel for a reception that perfectly transformed the atmosphere of the day. While the ceremony embraced colour and vibrancy, the reception design leaned into understated elegance. Working alongside Mountain Event Rentals & Modern Rentals, we created a sophisticated palette of black, white, candlelight, and greenery that felt timeless against the grandeur of the historic ballroom. Long harvest tables, glowing taper candles, abundant florals, and carefully curated details created a warm and inviting space that encouraged guests to settle in and celebrate.
Every element was thoughtfully considered. Custom stationery and signage from Book A Classic added a polished personal touch throughout the space, while the beautiful wedding cake and desserts from Whippt provided a stunning focal point before the evening festivities began.
As dinner unfolded beneath the soaring ceilings and historic architecture of the Banff Springs, guests shared stories, heartfelt speeches, and plenty of laughter. Rocky Mountain Photo Co. documented every meaningful moment, from quiet glances between the newlyweds to the spontaneous reactions of family members witnessing the celebration unfold.
When the formalities came to an end, the energy in the room shifted. Pez Productions kept the dance floor packed all evening, while saxophonist Chris Kostyniuk brought an incredible live element that elevated the party into something truly unforgettable. Under glowing lights and surrounded by friends and family waving illuminated batons, Annapurna and Nick danced the night away in a celebration that was every bit as vibrant as their ceremony.
From the mountain-view vows to the candlelit reception and electric dance floor, Annapurna and Nick's wedding was a beautiful reflection of who they are as a couple. It honoured tradition while embracing modern style. It celebrated two families, two cultures, and one incredible future together.
