Ella and William’s September wedding in Banff, Alberta, was a celebration filled with emotion, natural beauty, and intentional design. The day began with a private first look, tucked beside the water with alpine air moving through the trees and the early autumn colours starting to show. They exchanged personal words before the day's energy began, an emotional, grounding moment that set the tone for everything that followed.
The ceremony took place at Tunnel Mountain Reservoir, one of Banff’s most scenic outdoor wedding locations. Dark wooden benches faced the mountains, framing a long white aisle runner that led to the altar. Blue Lake Florals created vibrant arrangements with red, burgundy, orange, deep purples, and white, adding seasonal richness to the backdrop. The ceremony decor was thoughtfully selected from Justin Wilkinson Designs. Stephanie O’Dette provided ceremony music, and Alpenglow Ceremonies officiated with a heartfelt presence. Surrounded by their loved ones, Ella and William shared their commitments, declared their love, said their I do's, and sealed it with a kiss under the Rockies. It was a moment that felt entirely their own, with the mountains standing witness.
The celebration continued at Bluebird, a beautifully designed restaurant in Banff, where the top-floor reception space balanced modern warmth with refined simplicity. White table runners, candles, and florals elevated the room without overpowering the architecture and natural light. Reception decor came from Mountain Event Rentals, while Two Bit Bandits brought live music that kept guests dancing and energized well into the night. A live painter, Art by Anne, crafted a stunning portrait from the ceremony for the couple to cherish forever, creating a tangible memory to take home. Hair and makeup were by Something Borrowed Beauty; Bare Bistro made the cake; and Magnifik Photography captured every moment with honesty and artistry.
Ella and William’s wedding was heartfelt, thoughtful, and so wonderful. A true Banff celebration that blended sentiment, scenery, and joy.
