Ally and Sean’s wedding at Emerald Lake Lodge was unforgettable. With details carefully handled behind the scenes, the entire experience felt seamless, thoughtful, and authentic from start to finish.
They chose to begin the day with a private first look near the lodge, captured by Gabe McClintock. It gave them a quiet moment together before everything began and set the tone for a day that felt intentional without being over-scheduled. From there, they moved into portraits around Emerald Lake, making the most of the turquoise water and mountain backdrop.
The ceremony took place on the patio overlooking the lake, with gorgeous florals from Willow Flower Co. A gold circular arch anchored the space, softened with florals, while string lighting by Silvermoon Productions added a subtle glow overhead.
Music from Solatido welcomed guests and carried through the ceremony, keeping the atmosphere relaxed and personal.
For the reception, guests moved into Cilantro on the Lake, where the design leaned into a refined boho feel. Ivory linens from Mountain Event Rentals, gold cutlery and chargers, and gold chiavari chairs were layered with deep green napkins and soft blush florals by Willow Flower Co. Candlelight and thoughtful table styling added depth without feeling overdone.
Cocktail hour flowed through the Yoho Lounge before guests returned for dinner. Emerald Lake Lodge handled food and service, with a relaxed, well-paced evening that included family-style starters, plated mains, and speeches woven in throughout.
Details throughout the day were unique, classy, and truly stunning. A semi-naked lemon blueberry cake from Whippt was styled with fresh florals, and each place setting included a small soap favour for guests.
As the evening shifted, Visual Sound Waves took over, transitioning the space into a full dance floor. Ally and Sean’s first dance to In My Life felt true to them, understated and meaningful, before the energy picked up for the rest of the night. Outside, a s’mores station and late-night snacks kept guests moving between the dance floor and the patio.
From the quiet first look to a packed dance floor, the day struck a really beautiful balance. This meaningful day was so very special, and took place in one of the most beautiful places imaginable.
